Kadant Johnson Receives Turnkey Steam and Condensate System Order from Mondi Packaging

THREE RIVERS, Mich., February 28, 2007 – Kadant Johnson Deutschland GmbH and Kadant Johnson Systems International Ltd., subsidiaries of Kadant Johnson Inc., received a turnkey steam and condensate system rebuild order from Mondi Packaging Frantschach GmbH located in St. Gertraud, Austria. 

Kadant Johnson will supply the steam and condensate system design and engineering for the mill’s No. 8 paper machine. The No. 8 paper machine is 4.4 m wide and produces sack paper products at speeds up to 1,000 mpm. In addition to the steam system rebuild, a total of 40 drying cylinders will be upgraded with PTX steam joints and stationary syphons, Turbulator® bars, and other accessory equipment.

Mondi Packaging Frantschach GmbH is located in the heart of Europe, in Austria’s southernmost state of Carinthia. High-grade pulp and paper products have been produced at the site since the mill was founded in 1881.
