A New Industry Standard
The Accuclean doctor blade holder was designed for cleaning rolls located in the difficult-to-reach and dirty locations on a paper machine, and where blade changing is troublesome. Most commonly used in the dryer section, the Accuclean can also be applied to any application in which roll cleaning is critical. What sets the 
Accuclean apart from other blade holders is its open fingertip design, a unique feature that eliminates clogging due to paper dust and "stickies." The holder also allows for easy blade removal even under the most severe conditions, and the self-cleaning design of the retaining rivet on the blade combined with the "open fingertip" of the holder assists with the removal of debris with each blade change. Heavy-duty, 316 stainless steel construction makes it a durable and long-lasting blade holder.
Rapid Blade Changing, Self-Cleaning
The Accuclean's design allows for rapid blade changing. Both front and end-removal blades are easily and quickly changed by simply pulling the worn blade across the holder assembly. The pull-through action dislodges particle build-up in the holder, leaving it clean to accept the new blade. The holder is profiled to the roll at installation, eliminating the need for re-profiling or shimming with each blade change. Accuclean's unique blade retainer design prevents normal clogging and assists self-cleaning every time a blade is changed.
Uniform Accuracy
The Accuclean blade holder improves doctoring efficiency by holding the blade firmly against the roll. Micro-adjusting screws permit a uniform blade fit across the roll's entire face. These micro-adjusting screws are located in the holder immediately behind each mounting bolt and allow for a 5/32 inch adjustment for surface variations. As an adjusting screw is forced against the doctor back, it pivots the holder and blade toward the roll (see Figure 1). The coated wear-resistant adjusting screws provide long life with precision performance.
Easy Retrofit
Accuclean is a direct replacement for the Accumate holder. Replacing a KF-3 holder is an easy operation as no major rework is required; a filler strip is provided (see Figure 2) and simple installation instructions are shipped with each blade holder.
